With temperatures barely making it into double figures at the moment, the last thing you might be considering is a trip out with the family. For the many local attractions in the region, now is the ideal time to be considering their promotional literature for the summer season.
When it comes to attracting your intended audience, first impressions are everything. When someone walks into a tourist office and finds tens, if not hundreds, of promotional leaflets in front of them, you want yours to grab their attention.
We would therefore recommend you consider the following things when it comes to planning your next leaflets:
- What are the objectives of your leaflet? Does the leaflet meet all of them?
- Can the customer quickly identify what your attraction is, who it is aimed at and what you have to offer?
- Does your leaflet offer the customer a reason to pick it up and find out more about you? (Bear in mind that in a sea of leaflets, sometimes only the top 3rd of your leaflet may actually be on show to the customer)
- Is your choice of font and imagery clear and easy to read?
- Is the layout of text and imagery easy to follow or cluttered and confusing?
- Can the customer quickly and easily find all the information they need? (Location, phone number, opening times etc.)
These are just some of the things to think about, although there is no right answer when it comes to designing your leaflet. For help and advice planning the next advertising campaign for your attraction, do not hesitate to touch.
