Looking Back at 2025 and Ahead to 2026: A Year of Growth, Creativity and Sustainable Progress at Colour Print
Posted on 01/12/2025
As we get to the end of the year, the whole team has naturally started looking back over what 2025 has actually felt like day-to-day. It didn’t start with a bang - in fact, the first few weeks were fairly slow and steady - but somewhere along the way the pace picked up, and by spring it became clear that the year was shaping up into something really positive.
New customers found us, some with projects we’d never tackled before, and others with ideas that pushed us creatively. It’s been refreshing, genuinely. There’s something energising about being given work that forces you to think a little differently or dust off an approach you haven’t used in a while. And of course, our long-standing customers continued to come back to us, which is something we never take for granted.
The Changing Mood Around Print
If there’s been one noticeable trend this year, it’s the shift in the way people are responding to printed marketing. There’s a real sense out there that everyone is tired of being bombarded online - the endless notifications, email blasts, and ads that follow you from website to website. It feels like people just want a break from it all.
Print, in contrast, seems to be making its way back into the spotlight. A letter through the door or a nicely produced booklet feels more intentional. You can hold it, flick through it, set it down and come back to it. A lot of businesses clearly recognise that, because we’ve seen more interest in direct mail, brochures and other physical marketing than we’ve had in a while. And because sustainability is front and centre for so many companies now, environmentally friendly print options have been a big talking point too.
Internal Progress Worth Mentioning
Alongside the work coming in, we’ve also spent time improving how we run things internally. Nothing dramatic - just the kind of gradual, continuous improvements that help everything run a bit more smoothly. We’ve put a lot of effort into strengthening our eco-friendly processes, and we’re in the final stages of rolling our new carbon-balancing options for 2026. It’s something we’re genuinely proud of because environmental responsibility has been a priority for us long before it became fashionable.
A Huge Thank You
We really do want to thank everyone who has supported us this year. Whether you’ve worked with us for years or only just joined us in 2025, your trust, ideas and enthusiasm have made this one of the most enjoyable years we’ve had in a long time. Every single project plays a part in shaping who we are and what we do, and we appreciate it more than you know.
And of course, our biggest thank you goes to our staff. They are the reason everything works - the late finishes, the problem-solving, the attention to detail that nobody outside the building ever sees. They just quietly get on with it, and they do it well. We’re extremely proud of them.
Christmas Operating Schedule
To make planning easier, here’s how things look over the Christmas break:
Printing continues until 19th December
Deliveries run up to Christmas Eve
We close lunchtime on Christmas Eve and reopen on 5th January
If you’re unsure about cut-off times or you’re juggling a last-minute job, it’s always worth giving us a quick call - we’ll help where we can.
Looking Ahead to 2026
We’re heading into next year with plenty of optimism. The plan is to continue growing carefully, not just in the volume of work but in the quality of what we can offer. The sustainability side of the business will continue to develop, and we’re expecting more interest in our greener print as awareness keeps rising.
One thing we always like to remind people of is that large spring and summer projects can sneak up faster than expected. Printers everywhere experience the same seasonal surge, so getting plans in early genuinely helps - it reduces stress for you and gives us more time to ensure everything is exactly how you want it.
