A small group of Sixth Form pupils at Norwich School saw their project to produce a charity cookbook grow beyond all expectations. The students are now hopeful of raising £20,000 for the new Priscilla Bacon Hospice, enough to equip one of the single bedrooms in the new hospice when it is built in 2023. We provided the printing services for the run of 2000 books and invited the young scholars organising the project along to see behind the scenes of the printing process.
At over 100 pages, ‘Baking for Bacon’ is packed full of recipes which have been provided by award-winning restaurants and cafés in Norfolk and Suffolk, as well as from amateur bakers, including students at Norwich School and those involved with the charity.
A copy of the book can be purchased from the Priscilla Bacon Hospice website. The full selling price of £10 will be donated to the campaign.
